Emera became more exuberant as the evening passed into night. She was so excited about this foal it was inexplainable. She wondered when the other mares would come into season or if it had already passed for both of them. She knew what would happen they would breed with Fajer andher jealousy would show its ugly face. She hoped it was only that just a breeding to ensure the herd for Fajer and nothing more. She looked up as Huda spoke smiling and nickering her aproval. She liked the names very much. She looked at Huda and begn to wonder why she truly left the Segreto herd. She finally asked, " What became of the other mare whom left us that you encountered? "
Huda stopped grazing, crania still to the ground listening to Emera's question slowly bringing up her elegant nape she retorted emotionless Ebony? She became lead mare, or should I say filly. Huda's last words were the only ones nickered with any emotion and that was, ice cold hatred. The familiar jealousy raised back within her but she ignored it the Segreto herd was history, and could rot for all she cared.

Emera's ears laid back at her words. She still grazed but she was angered by that unruley bay. He was older than Fajer but he showed no sense at all. Huda would have been a wonderfull lead mare very kind and very loving. She snorted at her the word " filly" and raised her head to look at Huda. Something seemed to pass between them it was an understanding of the others jealousy. Emera had her own jealous spouts and most of them where over the other mares and Fajer. She could only imagine how it would feel to have a young filly come out of no where and still your heart's desires from right under your nares. She would have left if Fajer had done the same with her. She smiled at him lovingly and turned back to Huda and said," I understand how you feel I would have done the same " She hoped her words would take some of the sting out of the bay's betrayal but she knew only time would heal Huda's wounds.
Nodding at what the lead mare had said Huda no longer felt like eating, not just because of the overly lush grass though. A slight cool breeze picked up carrying her tresses then lightly dropping them when the wind passed. The connection the two mares had shared was fresh in her mind, she was happy were she was and was glad that another mare had the same opinion. Orbs briefly looked about hoping not to See the Segreto herd in the valley, seeing not a trace of either Ace or Ebony, HUda moved closer to Emera and groomed her friends shoulder.

Emera smiled in contentment as Huda moved over to groom her shoulder. Her swollen barrel showed off her pregnancy. She no longer looked like an overfed pony but a very pregnant mare. She was content. Although she still did not like Ella in the least bit she had accepted her. She found the other mare overly sweet and hated how she pranced about. She ignored it though not caring anymore. Although when the time came she would dislike her even more when she and Fajer bred which was sure to cause trouble. She pushed the thoughts from her head with a shake of her head and raised her crania slightly. She had eated her and her gorwing foals fill and now she felt like dozing quietly. She fell asleep feeling safer than she had ever felt before and her dreams where filled of Fajer and her new foal. Flame was now only an after thought. A thing of her past which had no place here amongst her and her growing family.

Emera woke up lazily flicking her tail to find Fajer and Huda close grooming her. She smiled and looked over at Izz and Ella. They where stll grazing and looking happy. She turned her head and nuzzled Fajer' s cheek lightly. Her velveteen nares gliding over his silken coat. She then said, " I love you. " She hoped he would return with the same words for her. She loved him so much. Her heart was still bitter and full of jealousy but that did not make her unable to love.

Emera looked around peacfully and turned her head to nuzzle Huda. They had some sort of bond now that she couldn't really explain but she would do her best to protect this mare from all that Fajer couldn't. She hoped the bay would die of his wounds that Fajer gave him although she knew it was unlikely... She hoped the filly will suffer for what she had done. She looked into Huda's eyes and said " He was very unwise in his choice. He will surely suffer from this new filly's bad judgement due to her age. They will suffer. "
If she is too young to understand the duties of a lead mare, then she will surely bring herself and the entire band with her. When me and Ace meet again, he will be too lovesick to understand what is going on. She is too young, all she believes is that she gets to mate with the lead stallion first, when the responsibilities exceed much further. He spoke of what he knew, he wasn't trying to make that new filly feel bad, but that was no matter to him, she left his herd, she deserves to live in a herd of misery.

Emera looked up at Fajer and shivered. " I'm not used to these colder temperatures. Shall we head back to the desert? . Emera hated the cold most of all. She was born and raised in the Arabian desert and thats where she felt the most at home. She was not to pregnant to travel and she could keep up a swift canter or a brisk trot. She nuzzled Fajer hoping the change of subject will put Huda in a better mood.
What Fajer and Emera said was true, especially the part about being love sick. The last time Huda had seen the Segreto leads they were playing in the ocen like a couple of irresponsable yearlings. Nodding she couldn't help but to wonder if Ace and Ebon said the same things about her. Glad for a change of subject Huda's eyes lit up, I agree with Emera we should probably move onto our lands.
