Ebony slowed to a trot and then to a walk as she reached the river. She took a long, well deserved drink before squirting a splash of water at Ace.

Ace laughed, then took a drink of water. He wanted to swim in it, but there was a breeze and if he got out again he would get cold, so he decided not to. He splashed Ebony back playfully.

Arabella trotted up looking at Ace as if he was no better than a moldy piece of hay. She was angered by his actions but it only showed in her eyes. Her gracefull demeanor was not harmed and she arched her neck as she cantered up to them. She stopped a few feet away and looked him right in the eye accusingly. She snorted and tossed her two tone tresses waiting for him to say something.

Ace lifted his head up quickly, water dripping from his mouth. Seeing Arabella standing in front of him and Ebony, he suddenly got a guilty feeling, but he didn't know why. She had decided to leave, he saw her running from his herd. Ace just flattened his ears sideways from his head, trying to show he was sorry if he'd done anything wrong.

Arabella was apalled by his reaction and let out another snort this one dissaproving. She was near the point of just attacking him but chose not to at the moment. Her eyes flashed and boiled with the anger pent up inside of her. She flicked her tail dangerously and pinned her lobes sligtly back. Her eyes never left Ace and still held the accusing look in them. If he does not speak this time he will most certainly regret it she thought.

Ace didn't know what to say. At all. Here was a mare, forcing him to say something. "I'm sorry," he decided, pricking his ears back up, "I just thought you left earlier..."

Arabella looked at him trying to stay composed but it didn't work. She snapped her bad temper getting the best pf her. " Your sorry? Thats all you have to say for yourself after last night? I suppose you haven't told her that you nearly convinced me to runaway with you and leave her behind with your foal to fend for themselves. Or how you told me how you felt about me and then you sleep next to me on the beach. Did you tell her those things? Well I suppose I am telling you and she is hearing it! If you would have followed me I was going to talk to you about this in private but instead you decide to ignore me anc chase after her so now she gets to hear just how wonderfull of a stallion you are. " She snorted and reared up shaking her head at him. She was breathing hard from her outburst and was ready for more if he dared say soemthing smart back to her.

Ace was now angry at the mare in front of him and at himself. He was tired of being lead stallion...he was no good at it, he was always making mares hurt or angry. He put his ears back against his head. He was leaving the Segreto Herd, even if Ebony came or not. He pawed the ground and snorted, then kicked sand in Arabella's eyes so she could not see where he ran off to.

Arabella let out an angry snort and a squell as she shook her head. She walked slowly to the river and dropped her crania into the cool water to cleanse her eyes. She raised her head to see the Ace's black banner billowing out behind him. She then yelled, " You coward! Running from problems that you create! " She turned to Ebony and gave her an apologetic look. " I'm sorry for what has happened but look at him! He is running away from both of us and you carry his foal. He is not worth any mares time. Go after him if you like but I think it is an unwise decision for the lief that you carry. " With those words Arabella began trotting off the opposite direction that Ace had went hoping she would never see him again. Next time she encounters him she would not be alone.

Gabby trotted into the Never Ending River, seeing the two mares. One mare she recognized, Arabella. The other one she couldn't remember meeting. She rushed towards them, feeling hyper, but her hyperness vanished when she smelled anger in the air. "Is everything alright around here?"

A familiar voice came to her ears. It was Gabby. She turned and looked at her anger boiling in her eyes. " Everything's fine " she said sarcasticly. She nickered a welcome shortly after to try to take the sting from her words but then she turned and again began trotting away.

Gabby's mouth dropped. 'How rude,' she thought, and followed after Arabella, but turning around to Ebony and saying, "I'm sorry if something's gone wrong." then she continued trotting after Arabella. "Wait!" she said, "Where are you going?"

Arabella's temper had gotten the best of her. She didn't mean to snap at Gabby the way she had but she couldn't help but feel the way she did. She stopped waiting for Gabby to catch up and began trotting toward the forest. " I am going far away from here and that awful stallion. " she said angrily. She was still simmering but it was nothing compared to the outburst on Ace. She twitched her tail in annoyance picking up a faster trot in her haste to leave.

Gabby decided to keep following Arabella, even if the mare had yelled at her a bit. Gabby wasn't the kind of mare who liked to be alone. She didn't mean to bug Arabella, but just in case, she said, "Could I go with you?"

Arabella's ear swivled back to Gabby and then back forward again. After a few moments of thinking she replied, " If you wish to come you are welcome. " She was annoyed at Gabby but it wasn't Gabby's fault that she was feeling so touchy. If Ace hadn't done what he had she would most likely be in a very good mood but that wasn't the case.
