Emera turned her crania eyeing Lessa in her boldness but slightly admiring it at the same time. She watched as she stepped almost in between them only enough to discourage any oncoming violence. Emera knew she was in no state to fight but she was more worried about Huda's reaction to Ebony than Ebony's reaction to their sudden appearance. She smiled reasuringly at her and masked the look in her eyes and spoke so only she could hear, " Don't worry she will be no trouble. Don't lose your temper it could be fatal to us all. " She turned back to Ebony waiting for her to reply.

Ebony snorted at Emera, I don't want to fight, besides haven't you got your young to worry about know? She nickered, We need not be enemies Emera.
She nickered back at the piebald mare, You obviously mistook my words, I wish you not to leave, stay, by all means,I was merely asking whether you liked our patch.

((arabella isn't a piebald. Piebald's have all white faces she is a Tobiano.))
Emera watched the filly studying her every move and then said, " Do you think I am in any state to fight? "She turned and touched her swollen barrel tenderly and looked back at Ebony. " At the look to things you don't seem to be making friends so easily and i don't consider you my enemy you are far to young. " The words were spoken like she was bored with Ebony and could care less about her. Emera couldn't help but add that last bit in for Huda's sake she hoped it made her feel better. She then turned to the river and walked toward it ignoring Ebony like they had never spoken and said, " Ella come to the water and drink you will feel much better " Again she pushed her dislike for her out of the way knowing it would be what Fajer wanted.

Ella felt much better now that the was forced to stop watching the fight and she got to stretch her legs after being so tense. She watched as Emera and Ebony were having problems with each other. She didn't worry knowing Emera wouldn’t fight at this stage and wanted to try and get better so all the attention was on Emera, since she needed it the most.
Thank youshe said politely and dipped her muzzle in to the refreshing water.

Emera lowered her head to the refreshing water and quickly drank the life giving liquid. She raised her dished face and suddenly she felt a harsh pain in her abdomen. Her body errupted in sweat and she shook her head with the pain trying to push the feeling away but it did not nto go away it only intensified until she could barely stand it. She began pacing back and forth flicking her tail and tossing her head. She let out a low grunt as the pain stopped and then started again. She knew what it was the foal was coming.

She lifted her head out of the river and looked over at Emera. She noticed by how she acted that she was due to have the foul very soon. Ella had remembered the signs Her mother had when she was due to her little sister. She raised her head to the other mares to see if they a noticed yet.

She brought her head up from the water in alarm, turning around and staring at Emera.
"Now?" She said with a look of utter surprize on her face...
"Its coming now?" Quickly shetrotted over to Emera, pacing along side her and taking in her smell.
"Its coming NOW!" She yelped in alarm, were they far enough away to stop here? Would the smell of blood bring those dogs back?
"Gather!" she said quickly to the other mares. "Stay close! Birthing in the open is dangerous!"
She continued pacing next to Emera, offering all the support her experiance could.

Emera tossed her head as another contraction clenched her body she walked in a cirlce and then laid down only to get back up again in her uncomfortable state. She started circling and half reared as the pain seared through her muscles. She then laid down on the ground not completely covered in sweat. She jerked her head as another contraction racked her body. Finally she felt the tiny form exiting her body and grunted in pain as she tried to push the foal out of her body. She panted and pushed as much as she could and finally the foal dropped from her body. Relief covered her and her muscles trembled from the exertion. She quickly stood up and broke the sac that carried her offspring and began to lick it clean. She took in the scent of the life she created etching it into her brain. She nickered her love and watched as her new daughter took her first breath.

With most things, Lessa was calm, collected and wise. She took things head on, asked questions, considered her response and when she responded it was with her careful and wise tone. But with this, as she stared down at the little black lump who had just so recently been part of the sassy Emera's body and had been cast out into the world by her uterine muscles... she let herself slip.
With a squeal of glee she bounced high into the air, kicking her back legs out in a pose oddly reminiscant of the leap of the goat, before coming back to earth and prancing around the mother-child duo like she was a filly again.
"Ohh! She's so precious! Its like seeing little Emera come into the world again, ah! Such a pretty little girl" She stopped, bumping the tiny muzzle against her own in affection, before turning back to the other mares.
"Come and see!!" She turned to Emera. "Whats her name?!"

"Oh!" She said, breaking her reverie. "Some time ago, when I was here with Ace and Huda... there were two dogs. We scared them off, but I just wanted to make sure... we need to keep our senses alert." This statement seemed to remind her of the dangers present and she stepped away, raising her head and taking the position as sentry, her head high, her ears pricked and her ears scanning the horizon....
Then, satisfied, she settled to grazing by the river eyeing the prone couple with an ear turned towards the forest.

Emera nuzzled the new life urging her to stand and for the first time she realized the foal was a filly. She smiled remembering Fajer's wishes and she nickered for Amirah to stand. She turned to the others and said still slightly panting, " Her name is Amirah. " looking back to Amirah she nickered again urgin her to rise to her feet.

"Everyone as happy" thought in delight. till it snaped to her... O, I hope Fajer's Ok she said in a sigh.

Ace's and Ebony's land sent a chill through her but she pushed it aside there was much more to worry about then her own past. Not even acknowledging Ebony's presence Huda walked around to Emera's side. The lead mares filly was as black as the night except for the star on it's forehead. Amirah was the perfect name for the life that was next to Emera. Ella's mention of Fajer was probably the last thing Emera needed to worry about, but Huda had the same question. Still her fellow members of the Damis herd and Lessa all looked well enough. So she relaxed a little her orbs still showed her concern and stress but her posture reflected how she wanted to feel.

The little filly looked up at Emera with her glowing bright eyes. She felt the little nug by her mother. Soon she tried to lift her forths, but dropped onto the lush grass beneath her. This little filly wasn't giving up; she lifted her little head off the ground. He front left leg pulled out from underneath her. As she lifted her fragile black body up, her front right pillar unfolded. Lifting her hindquarters up she lifted herself of the ground. Almost standing she quietly nickered to her mom. The little filly was filled with joy!
