Arabella glided along near a wide shallow river which she had been following for miles. She liked this place it was full of life and green grass. She smelled other horses but she ignored it continuing on her path. Her black and white coat contrasting against itself made her stand out in her surroundings making her look like a bright star in the middle of night. She walked into the cool water and laid down making sure there was not a dry spot on her. She got up sending diamonds everywhere as they slid off of her glorious pelt. Her coat glistened with health and it had a flawless shine. Her eyes where bright and unafraid of these unknown lands which she was no traveling. She lowered her head to the clear water and took in a large gulp. She swished her tail sending more water droplets around her. She raised her head and looked around. She liked this place " Maybe I will stay " she thought peacefully.

Gabby, a beautiful blue roan mare, galloped along the Never Ending River. She'd been racing it, as she loved running and was quite quick. That's how she had gotten away from her old herd, where she'd been picked on and teased. Her right ear had a little rip in it from when she was a filly. Suddenly stopping, Gabby sniffed the air. She smelled another mare, and she was nearby, too! She reared up happily, then trotted over in the direction she thought the mare was, and spotted her drinking from the river. While Gabby waited for the mare to notice her, all the while trying to keep calm. Gabby was an unusually very hyper horse.

Arabella looked up suddenly as the scent of another horse came to her nares. She spotted a very pretty blue roan not far away. She nickered a greeting " Come and join me! I'm Arabella and you are?. She tossed her mane sending more tiny diamonds in every direction.

Gabby watched the other mare named Arabella curiously. She liked the way the water made dimonds when Arabella splashed in it. "I'm Gabby," she replied, doing little jumps in the air. She stopped, embaressed, but smiled at Arabella the same time.

Arabella smiled at the other mare. She half reared and trotted out of the water once again causing water droplets to go in every direction. She was exhilerated by the water and the fact that she was no longer alone. She shook her head from side to side getting the excess water from her contrasting pelt. Not a piece of dirt was on her clean hide. She nickered to the other mare and bucked playfully.

Gabby was surprised. She'd never met another horse that had wanted to play with her, and became excited. She half-reared, neighing. Then lied down on the grass and rolled over onto her back, getting all the itchy spots cleared up and then just lying there for fun. "So...," she started, "where are you from, Arabella?"

She watched the other mare role on the ground and laughed. " I am from well everywhere actually. My mother escaped from a breeding farm after some horse theifs tied to steal her in the night. She was pregnant with me and I was born in the wild. She never joined a herd and we traveled together everywhere until ... " Arabella stopped speaking as the memory of her mother's death came into her memory. She shook her head to rid herself of it and finished " ... until she died. " She tried to ignore the sad feelings inside of her. The death was still fresh in her mind like it had happened yesterday not months ago. She looked away from Gabby and then back again and asked " Where did you come from? "

"Aw, nowhere special. The old herd I was in was so boring that I just had to run away. All they did was graze. I'm a horse who likes adventure!" she kicked her legs. "and, all the mares picked on me anyways, because I'm so hyper..." Gabby got up and shook the grass off herself. "I'm sorry about your mom," she told Arabella.

Arabella gazed at Gabby happy the subject had changed. She smiled at her said " I like adventure to lol but I don't go near mountains anymore... My mother was killed by a mountain lion when we were traveling....and thank you for the condolences " She looked around the pretty clearing and said " Who do these lands belong to? I like them so much I almost want to stay... "

"I don't know who's lands these are," Gabby admitted, "but I did hear something about a stallion called Ace. But I only heard his name, nothing else." she snorted. "I wonder where he is?" Gabby then splashed into the river, making water fall onto Arabella. She nickerd playfully, swimming at the same time and dunking her whole head in the water every now and then. It was so refreshing!

" hmm... I've not heard of him.. I haven't met any other aside from you now " She laughed as the water splashed on her and she turned running back into it pawing sending liquid diamonds in ever direction.

Ace is busy. Ebony nickered, I am Ebony, the Segreto Herd's lead mare, liking the Never Ending River are we? She snorted.

Arabella stopped her playing at the sound of anothers voice. She turned wondering who could be so thingyy as to say such a thing to her and Gabby. Her two toned coat shimmered with the liquid diamonds that still clung to her shimmering coat. It was spotless and dazzling in the evening sun. She was gorgouse enough to sweep any stallion off of his feet but she didn't know it or try to use it to her advantage. She just merely said what she thought when she thought it and now was no exception.
She eyed the other bay filly and said without respect a superior tone in her voice, " Well I suppose I will go if I'm not welcome " She was not afraid of this silly little filly although she seemed about the same age as she was. She watched her seeing how she would react testing her leadership skills and finally snorted charging out of the river toward the salty smell of the ocean.

Post by Emera - Daughter of the Night on Jul 21, 2006 23:05:09 GMT -5
Emera walked slowly toward the noise of the rushing water that filled her lobes. She couldn't wait to taste the sweet liquid quenching her thirst. Her black frame was swollen with foal and if that was not odd enough behind her followed four faes. Her ebon coat was covered with sand and dust from travel and her eyes were full of determination and dread.
The black countessa halted as she came into a beautiful clearing and seen a young bay sheila standing with her head high although she was petite she was pretty in her own way. Emera recognized her as the other mare that had run away from Fajer and also the lead mare of the Segreto herd. She glanced back at Huda dreading her reaction. She looked at the young femora and spoke ," I do believe we have met before if it was under different circumstances I would most likely teach you a lesson for your stupidity but we will save tht for another day. " she said in a superior voice knowing she had only a couple of days being a lead mare under her belt she was taking advantage.

Ah, the sun always shone so nicely here. She stepped out into the clearing beside Emera, admiring the slowly rippling water and the lusciously green forest beyond. She too, however, caught sight of a familiar figure on the other side of the river. The mare who'd met up with them when she and Huda had been with Ace.
At that moment though, before she could call out her greeting, Emera spoke. Her words we're harsh and challenging, to be expected for someone in her position, but she decided it might be better for all of them if she just stepped forward and slightly between the two opposing figures just incase her words provoked a violent reaction. She pricked her ears and bobbed her head in Ebony's direction, trying her d**ndest to let the other mare know that they weren't looking for trouble. Though really, anyone looking at the rag-tag group of equines carrying the weight of grim resolution about them would know that. She looked back, maintaining her calm, and nickered for the other two mares to come out of the brush.
((okay, gotta run =3))
